The purpose of my visit, which was at the invitation of the Vice-President in charge of world wide manufacturing, was first, to ensure the long term future for the Barnard Castle site, and second, to explore the possibility of Bio-Tech start up companies in the County of Durham (UK) in association with Duke University and GSK. GSK paid for the flights and accommodation.
